چکیده
A methodology based on a solid phase extraction (SPE) was optimized for the recovery of phenolic compounds from spent fermentation broth generated Biofene® (trans-?-farnesene) production. For this purpose, two resins (XAD-2 and HP-20) three desorption solutions (water, 50/50 ethanol/water, ethanol) were tested. The most efficient resin revealed to be HP-20, using ethanol as solution, reaching an overall total compound ca. 80% when 6 BV (bed volume) both feed applied. optimization resin’s process cycle pointed 15 treated per same volume in step, with no need extra regeneration stably yielding 48% at least 4 cycles, translating into 60 being resin, still perfectly active. extract characterized LC?ESI?UHR?QqTOF?MS, 82 identified, negative positive ionization modes, respectively. Organic acids main class identified phenolic-rich extract, followed by compounds, saccharides, peptides or amino vitamins. Additionally, significant antioxidant capacity (914.1 ± 51.6 2764.5 142.8 µmol Trolox equivalents/g-dw, respectively, ABTS ORAC methodologies), which might interesting wide variety applications.

Spent biomass of different seaweeds such as Sargassum wightii, Turbinaria conoides, Padina tetrastomata and Ulva lactuca were evaluated for the nutritional benefits in aqua feeds. Basic nutritional value, of seaweeds contains a number of pigments, defensive and storage compounds, and secondary metabolites that could have beneficial effects in farmed fish. Only a small fraction of algal species ...

A reversed phase liquid chromatography-DAD method is proposed for analysis of major non-flavonoid phenolic compounds in wines. The method employed a mixture of acetic acid, water and methanol as eluents and was used to evaluate the impact of malolactic fermentation in low molecular phenolic compounds. The wines analyzed underwent different treatments, like the addition of a pectolytic enzyme or...
متن کاملLiquid - Liquid Extraction of 2, 3-Butanediol from Fermentation Broth
Recovery of metabolites from fermentation broth by solvent extraction can be used to optimize fermentation processes. End-product reutilization, low product concentration, large volumes of fermentation broth and the requirements for large bioreactors, in addition to the high cost largely contributed to the decline in fermentative 2, 3-butanediol production. Extraction can ...
